Watch Out for Laser Beam Eyes!

Does your child have trouble keeping his or her eyes on the book while practicing? Try this tip from Jana in Pittsburgh: 

"We were practicing this evening and this is what happened...Lenka shot me with her laser beam eyes!!! Pretending I got shot works the best when it comes to practicing to keep the eyes on the book."

If you are struggling with a child keeping his eyes on the book, just tell him that his eyes are "laser beams" and that he needs to shoot them at the notes to make them glow as he plays them. No shooting those beams at mom though, she wears a laser beam-proof vest!!
